Positivity: Day 11

Day 11 has been a day of gifts. Not only has the day been a present we also received some. The name of my blog is PM by Day and I never really talk about my life as a PM. That’s because I’ve been busy developing an app for you guessed it, project management.

I am overjoyed. I am really proud of what is being created and I really hope that when it is released next year you check PLUS out. PLUS is the name so burn that into your retinas.  If you want to share some of your project pain points or general work frustrations, feel free to comment.

Positivity: Day 10

Errands and meetings. I really enjoy being busy and not with things that lead to no end.  Busy with purpose.

To spare us all, I’m posting pics of Brass Tap. Check them out. Great food and beer. Clean and friendly staff. Also, for your chiropractic needs visit Dr. Garrett…he’s next door.

Currently, I have to lay off the beer as it turns out I have a histamine intolerance.  This is new to me and I am learning more everyday.  What started out as a itch on my chest 2 weeks ago developed into full blown body hives.  Imagine itching all day, every day 24 hours a day…everywhere.  Take care of yourself people.  Eat as fresh as possible and drink and eat the not so fresh things in moderation.

Positivity: Day 2

Wiped down the white board to start a new day.  Focus items: power, success and opulence. PLUS. Dumped my brain, opened my mouth and talked about PLUS and described it’s features. Took a drive through Atlanta and realized this is a whole ass city. The city’s most prized possession, a parking space.

Life is good.

Now hiring…Now firing

I got fired.

Yes I did.

I was in shock even though I felt it coming. I was tired of fighting a losing battle.  I left them with no options. My manager couldn’t take me or my ideas. They were effective, better yet, working. In my last days as an employee, I attended meeting after meeting where I was told THE WAY I’m doing my job is not the company way.

It isn’t? Who was supposed to lead me? The Director preparing for a body building competition and not her first meeting of the day? Or the new manager whose wife beats his balls to a pulp?   Home life tragedies.

On firing day, my manager leaped from his desk with lightning speed when I cancelled his meeting to discuss my development and his role in it. He didn’t have an office. His desk was adjacent to mine.  Adjacent. He wanted me to scoot (his word) across the aisle for public private meetings.

I can see and hear you from here thanks.

Where in the job description does it say “leave my brain at the door“?

On what day did you decide you knew what’s best for me stranger?

Does your manager confuse employment with modern day slavery? Did your employer have security escort you out of the building? Are you still in fired status? I would love to hear from you. A celebration is in order!! Share your story here!!
