For my project, Flynaut never met a delivery date – NEVER. My project had a completion date of April 30, 2018. The dates they provided in my agreement were unachievable with the number of resources assigned to my project as that information was none of my business according to Flynaut management. I was understanding because I know the project lifecycle isn’t always smooth but there was no progress. Flynaut took no action on their side to bring on more or even qualified resources to ensure the product would be delivered on time or even at all. I showed Flynaut’s CTO the work that was done and he agreed it was below quality and said he would make the necessary changes to ensure my project was completed on schedule. That was in February.
Day 11 has been a day of gifts. Not only has the day been a present we also received some. The name of my blog is PM by Day and I never really talk about my life as a PM. That’s because I’ve been busy developing an app for you guessed it, project management.
I am overjoyed. I am really proud of what is being created and I really hope that when it is released next year you check PLUS out. PLUS is the name so burn that into your retinas. If you want to share some of your project pain points or general work frustrations, feel free to comment.

If we try that we could be somewhere in a climate…go anywhere! To get me moving this morning I blew the dust off an old song and conjured the spirit of movement and love. Putting this mix together was all love. Listen to this mix at your desk, car, gym, wonderment. There are a few mixes (VJ mix 1) I want to do with it because it’s just that hot. It’s all mine but I don’t mind sharing. It’s best served in order, no shuffles.
Errands and meetings. I really enjoy being busy and not with things that lead to no end. Busy with purpose.
To spare us all, I’m posting pics of Brass Tap. Check them out. Great food and beer. Clean and friendly staff. Also, for your chiropractic needs visit Dr. Garrett…he’s next door.
Currently, I have to lay off the beer as it turns out I have a histamine intolerance. This is new to me and I am learning more everyday. What started out as a itch on my chest 2 weeks ago developed into full blown body hives. Imagine itching all day, every day 24 hours a day…everywhere. Take care of yourself people. Eat as fresh as possible and drink and eat the not so fresh things in moderation.
Day of repair.
I let go.
I’m letting go of limited thinking that is holding me back. I embraced everything and everyone. Practiced patience.
When I woke up this morning, I had no idea where I was going to work from today or if I was even going to work. The thought of being alone wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do with myself today. Went to exercise my mind, spirit and body at the gym. That always brings clarity.
All I know is I can’t stop, won’t stop. I don’t know how. Food and drinks always bring me joy. My dream home exists and I’m coming for it.
I am using this day to catch up on my backlog of managerial tasks. HELP!! I am wearing so many hats right now I don’t take them off anymore, I just stack them so I don’t have to remind anyone of what it is I actually do. Needing a change of scenery, I decided to work out of Cafe + Velo. It’s definitely a place I can focus on my tasks while longing to do something more exciting…it’s still pretty early.
Desperately craving human interaction at the moment. Today’s focus is happiness. Enjoyment of the space I am occupying and the activities I am doing. I’ve never held a job I actually wanted until now. I wake up bright and early for my 8am meetings because I have passion and a purpose, both were seriously lacking in my previous employment endeavors. I’m moving with an end game and I couldn’t be happier. The days are faster and longer at the same time. Why did it take me so long to pursue being my own boss? Fear. I read somewhere that on the other side of fear is everything I ever wanted…imagine that.
Dinner. Papi’s Cuban. The mojitos alone make it worth it.
Day 6 was pretty low key. Again my focuses were power, success and opulence. It blows my mind that I am actually creating an app. My app is my contribution to the project management world. It is a tried and true method of management that has helped me tremendously in my 13 year career as a project manager and a business analyst. PLUS (which is my app name) is not just functions that project managers and teams perform routinely.
I attended a Product Management workshop at General Assembly in PCM or Ponce City Market for those not in the know. I wanted to verify if I was on track with my project since it is a product but I am not a “product manager” and turns out I am. I am willing it into fruition.
